Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress has decided that its parliamentary party will make a final decision regarding the concerns raised against House of Representatives (HoR) Deputy Speaker Indira Rana. In a meeting held today at party president Sher Bahadur Deuba's residence in Budhanilkantha, top party leaders concluded that the matter would be addressed after consultations with other parties in the ruling coalition.

Shyam Kumar Ghimire, the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party Chief Whip, stated that the party's informal meeting discussed various contemporary political issues, including the Deputy Speaker's situation. He added that the decision would be taken following a parliamentary party meeting and coordinated discussions with coalition partners.

On Tuesday, lawmakers from the ruling parties suggested in the HoR meeting that Deputy Speaker Rana should resign to resolve the situation. The Nepali Congress has been holding informal discussions to form its official stance on the matter.
